Cell Applications’ Bovine Pituitary Extracts and Bovine Brain Extracts are made exclusively from young and healthy New Zealand raised bovines to avoid any chance of contamination from Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE).

New Zealand has never had an incidence of BSE. Our sources have all passed ante- and post-mortem inspection. Full documentation is available including New Zealand certificates of health and USDA Importation licenses.

Because our sources are young, healthy animals, our extracts have a full spectrum of mitogens and differentiation factors.

We continue to process the flash-frozen tissue according to original protocols developed in the lab of Dr. Richard Ham.

Susan Hammond was a Senior Research Assistant and Lab Manager of Dr. Ham’s Lab 1981–1987. In 1987, she founded Hammond Cell Tech.
