Human ACE ELISA Kit: Human Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme ELISA Kit
Size: 96 Wells
Price: $533.00
Description
Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is a zinc-containing dipeptidyl carboxypeptidase widely distributed in mammalian tissues and plays a critical role in blood pressure regulation. The ACE precursor consists of 1306-amono acid residues including a 29 amino acid residue-signal peptide. The mature protein has a molecular weight of 180kDa. There are two isoforms of ACE, a smaller/ single catalytic site enzyme found in the testes and a more widely expressed ~180kDa dual active site isoform. ACE is often membrane bound.2 ACE inhibitors are widely used to treat hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. ACE inhibitors have also been used to slow nephropathy, particularly when it is associated with diabetes.3 The standard product used in this kit is recombinant human ACE, consisting of 30-1261 amino acids with the molecular mass of 120 kDa.Â
