BBE: Bovine Brain Extract

Bovine Brain Extract (BBE), crude tissue extracts derived from cow brain, supports extended growth and cell-specific phenotypic expression for specific cell types. These include mammalian, avian and human endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, keratinocytes, melanocytes, hybridomas, primary neuronal cell types, as well as promoting pluripotent stem cell differentiation. Because BBE is highly concentrated, it is a cost effective alternative to ECGS (endothelial cell growth supplement)

The Bovine Brain Extract-Hammond (BBE) was derived from New Zealand bovine brain with the Hammond Cell Technology’s proprietary method for unmatched quality and consistency. It has never been lyophilized and thus maintains a full range of biological activity. US-origin BBE is not also availble. Products are for research use only.
