Lymphocyte

Lymphocytes are the central cellular orchestrators of the adaptive immune system, providing antigen-specific recognition, immunological memory, and coordinated host defense against pathogens and malignancies. Derived from hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow, these cells circulate continuously through the bloodstream and lymphatic networks to patrol peripheral tissues. In standard in vitro immunology and translational research, Human Peripheral Blood T Cells (HPBT) and Human Peripheral Blood B Cells (HPBB) represent the primary cellular models used to explore adaptive immunity.
