BPE: Bovine Pituitary Extract

Quantity

Description

Bovine Pituitary Extract (BPE) is derived from the pituitary gland, a small endocrine gland that produces and secretes various hormones that are vital to the regulation of various bodily functions. Our BPE is derived from pituitary glands of young and healthy New Zealand raised bovines to avoid any chance of contamination from Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). The Bovine Pituitary Extract was derived with the Hammond Cell Technology’s proprietary method for unmatched quality and consistency.

Hammond Cell Tech Logo Our BPE is highly concentrated and contains the full spectrum of putative mitogens and growth factors that have been used effectively in promoting robust growth in a wide range of cells in vitro, especially those of epithelial origin and stem cells. It has never been lyophilized and thus maintains the full spectrum of biological activity. Because of its high purity and potency, the BPE volume required to supplement cell culture medium for healthy and robust cell growth is only a fraction of the serum volume, thus producing significant cost savings.

Products are for research use only. They are not intended for human, animal, or diagnostic applications.
