Rabbit Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells: RbAOSMC
Description
Rabbit Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells (RbAOSMC) from Cell Applications, Inc. were used to:
- Demonstrate that anti-restenosis drug probucol inhibits vascular smooth cell proliferation by enhancing apoptosis and inducing heme oxygenase-1
- Evaluate performance of a novel pH/CO2Â sensor system for measuring metabolic activity of cultured cells
- Characterize the receptor pharmacology, antiplatelet activity, and vascular pharmacology of a novel receptor antagonist
Characterization:Â positive for smooth muscle cell specific alpha-actin expression
