Bovine Endothelial Cell Media are endothelial cell growth media formulated to support the attachment, proliferation, and functional maintenance of bovine endothelial cells in vitro. Endothelial cells line the interior surface of blood vessels, forming a dynamic interface that regulates vascular function, including permeability, leukocyte recruitment, and signaling responses that shape vascular inflammation and angiogenesis. In bovine tissues (including the heart and major vessels such as arteries and veins), endothelial cell populations are commonly isolated and used as primary cell models to study blood vessel biology and vascular pathophysiology.

In cell culture applications, Bovine Endothelial Cell Media are used to culture bovine primary cells and endothelial cell line systems under endothelial-specific conditions. These endothelial cell medium formulations are typically provided as complete medium concepts, combining a basal medium with endothelial cell growth supplement components that support key pro-growth signaling (including pathways associated with vascular endothelial growth factor, VEGF) and additional supportive factors such as insulin-like growth factor. Depending on the product formulation, media supplements may include bovine hypothalamic extract and other components designed to sustain cell metabolism and growth factor–dependent endothelial behavior. Phenol red may be included or omitted to support compatibility with downstream readouts, as colored components can contribute to background signal in some optical assays. Antibiotic-free and horse serum-free formulations are also available.

Bovine Endothelial Cell Media are used across cell biology workflows that assess proliferation, maintenance of endothelial phenotype, and endothelial function within a controlled cell culture system. Researchers commonly apply these media in comparative studies alongside human endothelial models (such as HUVECs) to evaluate conserved versus species-specific endothelial responses. In addition, endothelial cultures grown in these media can support molecular biology applications requiring healthy, actively proliferating cells, including transfection experiments and studies that rely on stable or reporter expression, where consistent culture performance can support transfection efficiency.

Bovine Endothelial Cell Media help provide reliable endothelial cell growth conditions designed to reduce variability and support reproducible experimental outcomes. By delivering an endothelial-specific complete medium with appropriate media supplements for robust proliferation and sustained endothelial behavior, these media support vascular-focused cell types and blood vessel research, generating data for cardiovascular investigations, tissue engineering applications, and related therapeutic development efforts.

Medium carefully optimized for the characteristics and requirements unique to Bovine Endothelial Cells.  Attention to detail ensures ideal cell health, viability, performance, physiology, morphology, consistency and data.

Details

CAI media are tested for sterility in order to confirm no bacteria, yeast or fungi contaminate the solutions.  The products undergo further quality control for correct pH, osmolality and lack of endotoxins. A panel of different bioassays affirm the media sustain a proper environment for expected cell-type-specific culture, growth, plating, karyotype, physiology, morphology, viability, population doublings, surface markers, cryopreservation, differentiation and/or induction.
Laboratory research use only (RUO). Not for human, clinical, diagnostic or veterinary use.
