Cell RNA

Description

High quality total RNA from human and animal primary cells using the modified guanidium thiocyanate method.  RNA is offered at 10 & 25 μg/vial at 1 mg/ml, and is ready for use in downstream applications like microarray hybridization, PCR cDNA synthesis and RT-PCR analysis.

(Click to Enlarge) Cell RNA (A) Human Fibroblast–Like Synoviocytes, Rheumatoid Arthritis (HFLS-RA) Total RNA. RNA was electrophoresed in 1% agarose gel to show the distinct 28S and 18S ribosomal RNA bands. RT-PCR was performed with Hsp60 primers and CD55 primers to produce 2.2 kb and 582 bp products. (B) Re-Differentiated Human Adult Chondrocytes (RD-HC) Total RNA. RNA was electrophoresed in 1% agarose gel to show the distinct 28S and 18S ribosomal RNA bands. RT-PCR was performed with Aggrecan and Hsp60 primers to produce 213 bp and 2.2 Kb products.

Details

Quality control tests confirm RNA integrity and stability:

  • Distinct 28S and 18S ribosomal RNA shown on 1% denaturing gel before and after 37oC  incubation
  • No visible Genomic DNA band of 23 kb detected
  • No genomic DNA contamination detected following PCR amplification using house-keeping gene G3PDH primers
  • A 2.2 kb product from mRNA was detected following RT-PCR amplification using human heat shock gene Hsp60 primers
  • A discrete band of 2 kb was detected upon hybridization with a human beta-actin cDNA probe in Northern Blot analysis
  • Primers were designed to detect mRNA for genes of interest to confirm cell phenotype
